ERA: True vintage item from the 1900 - 1910s

MEASUREMENTS: the dress is 33 inches long, it will fit a 36 to 38 inch bust (41 inches around the chest) 46 inches around waist, 60 inches around the bottom hem. Shoulders are 15 inches wide and sleeves are inches long

The inner liner is 37 inches long, 34 inches from shoulder to crotch. 42 inches around chest, 39 inch waist, 43 inches around hips.

MATERIAL: wool and cotton

Black wool cloth swimsuit consisting of a 1 piece liner with cotton tank top and wool bloomer bottom, and black wool dress. The lining is step-in with snaps that open one shoulder. The black wool section has red cotton trim around the bottom of the legs.

The black wool dress is trimmed with red cotton around the arms, neck and bottom edge. The dress is pullover with no openings. It is cut wide and loose with wide belt loops, no belt.

 

CONDITION: The set is in good to very good condition with some issues. The wool dress has about 25 small scattered holes over it. Most are 1/8 inch or under, a few are 1/4 inch.

The lining piece is missing a snap from the shoulder. The cotton tank top section of the lining is aged and has a 2 inch tear at the front of the neckline. There are about a dozen holes in the crotch and the behind of the black wool section. They are 1/4 to 1 inch in size, including an old repair.
