Vintage 1950s Ceil Chapman Beaded Black Dress and Fitted Cropped Jacket, 33 bust, some issues, missing beads

ERA: True vintage item from the 1950s
MEASUREMENTS: the dress is 44 inches long, it will fit a 33 inch bust with room, 25 inch waist, 36 inches around hips. The jacket is 13 inches long, fits 33 inch bust. Shoulders are 16 inches wide and sleeves are 22 inches long
MATERIAL: rayon, glass beads
LABEL: 'Ceil Chapman' black label
Fitted black rayon dress with thin straps. Covered in squiggly lines of black bugle beads. Has a very fitted, cropped jacket with fabric covered buttons and loops. Jacket is lined, dress is unlined with metal side zipper. It looks a lot like the Ceil Chapman dress that Marilyn Monroe wore to entertain the troops in Korea in 1954, but her dress was blue or purple.

CONDITION: The dress is in good condition with issues. There is light fade across the top of the jacket and light make-up stains on the collar. Both pieces have loose beads and areas of missing beads. There are missing beads on the top of both shoulders on the jacket. The back of one sleeve has two areas that have 2-3 inches of missing beads. There are other missing beads and some hanging beads on the jacket.
The dress has loose and hanging beads on the strap and the neckline. There are two 4+ inch areas of missing beads on the front of the dress - at the waist area and the lower skirt. There is a 2x5 area of missing on the back of dress at lower back area. More Loose and hanging beads on the dress and missing beads in smaller spots. Some light color marks or fade in the background of the dress.
The dress would be wearable with the beadwork replaced and repaired. I'm selling the dress at this price with this in mind. If I were to do the work myself, the price would be much more.
