Vintage 1920s Peasant Dress, Embroidered White Cotton Gauze, Hungarian, fits 36 inch bust, issues

MEASUREMENTS: the dress is 38 inches long, about 15 inches across the shoulders, 21 inch long sleeves, will fit a 34 to 36 inch bust (40 inches around chest) dropped waist is 36-1/2 inches

LABEL: none
Sheer white, fine cotton gauze dress with dropped waist. It has red, black, white and yellow embroidery. Pullover with crochet buttons and loops on the neck. Smocking embroidery around the neck and around the dropped waist. The waist is just embroidery it is not elasticized. Sleeves are fitted at wrist and close with snap. Wrists are 6 inches around. The dress is sheer and unlined.

CONDITION: The dress is in good condition with some issues. There are several holes on the dress - 1/2 inch holes right next to the buttons and a few inches below it is another 1/2 inch hole with 1/4 inch hole next to it. Several small holes around the underarms and the seams under the arm have old repairs and spots that need to be sewn. There are two 1/2 inch holes on the skirt along with a 1/4 inch holes, small hole along the fold of the hem.
The dress is lightly off white from age. There is a scattering of small brown spots on the front of shoulder/chest. There are faint brown spots around the hem. There are a few broken threads in the embroidery.
The fabric feels sturdy, but it is a very fine cotton that needs to be treated with care. The holes are fraying and need to be repaired before the dress could be cleaned or possibly worn.
