ERA: True vintage item from the 1920s

MEASUREMENTS: the jacket is 42 inches long, about 14 inches across shoulders, 22 inch sleeves, fits 34 inch chest

MATERIAL: silk crepe

This open front, lightweight jacket was either a jacket for a matching dress or maybe a robe for pajamas or nightgown. It is a crepe silk and the seams are faggotting stitches. It is a true ombre fabric - not faded - from tan to beige to brown. Open front with no closures, curved front, long sleeves with cuffs. Unlined and lightweight.

 

CONDITION: Fair to good condition. It has a light allover dirty look with scattered stains. The back of the neck is dirty/stained, scattered stains over the robe. The cuff on one sleeve has been handstitched. A few breaks in the stitching of the faggotting.
