Victorian Black Tailored Jacket, Large fits 39 inch bust, 1800s some issues

ERA: True vintage item from the 1800s
MEASUREMENTS: the item is 25 inches long, it will fit a 39 inch bust with room, 34 inch waist. Shoulders are 19 inches wide and sleeves are 19 inches long
MATERIAL: thin woven wool, cotton lining

Black tailored jacket made for a larger size, with 12 fabric covered buttons down the front. The fabric is a fine woven wool cloth and it is entirely lined in brown cotton. Standing collar, dropped shoulders and long sleeves. 3 decorative button and fabric trim around the bottoms of each sleeve. The back of the jacket is fuller around the bottom to accommodate a bustle. Section of brown cotton inside with a few hooks.

CONDITION: Good condition. The black is dull and lightly faded to a brownish shade. The fabric is worn and frayed around the collar and there are several holes and tears at the back of the neck - the fabric there is dry. There is a 1 inch hole of missing black wool on the end of a sleeve. 1/2 inch hole on the top of a shoulder and other small scattered holes in the black wool. Light fade under the arms. Stains on the brown lining.
