MEASUREMENTS: the item is 55 inches long, it will fit a 30 inch bust, 24 inch waist, 38 inches around hips. Shoulders are 13 inches wide and sleeves are 13 inches long
MATERIAL: silk
LABEL: none
Fine ivory silk dress with inset cotton lace. Half length sleeves, sheer tulle under the sides of the bodice. Silk and lace running down the front of the bodice. Applique and silk rosette on the bodice. The lace trim along the top of the neck has Whirling Logs good fortune symbols. Inset vertical lace down the skirt with 5 rows of horizontal inset lace around the lower skirt, which is slightly fuller. Decorative belt buckle on the waist which may have been added later - it is sideways so it doesn't actually function as a belt buckle. More lace, appliques and Whirling Logs on the back of the bodice. Buttons to the waist and hooks below the waist. Unlined, lace is sheer.
CONDITION: The dress is in good to very good condition with some issues. The gown is allover ivory but may have originally been white. There is light discolor under both arms and faint pink under the arms - it looks like dye rub from a darker garment. There are small scattered holes in the lace and the silk, but overall the silk feels sound. A few light brown age spots that are small. When you hook the dress, there is a buckle of extra fabric between 2 hooks.
