1920s Blue Shawl Wrap, Silk Chiffon and Velvet with Chiffon and Gold Embroidery, DAMAGED

Blue crepe silk chiffon wrap with velvet border edge with embroidered design in silk chenille, rayon thread and gold metallic thread.

CONDITION: Fair condition. The silk chiffon is delicate and split in several areas. On the should area id a 4+ inch tear and hole with fabric missing. There is a 2 inch split in the silk within the embroidery in one spot. There is a 1/2 inch chunk missing from a silk corner. Otherwise the small holes and splits are scattered over the chiffon.
These tears and holes are delicate and likely to spread, too delicate to repair. This is a piece to treasure rather than use, probably too delicate for display.
