Vintage Edwardian 1920s Black Straw Hat, Wide Brim by Kathryn Meek Waterloo Iowa, updated

ERA: True vintage item from the 1910s to 1920s
MEASUREMENTS: fits 22 inch head - it sets down on the head
MATERIAL: straw, polyester, silk, flowers
LABEL: 'Kathryn Meek Hat Shop, Waterloo Iowa'
Black straw hat with a brim that is wide on the sides and shorter in the front and the back. It has the original silk lining with the label.
In recent times someone has updated the hat with newer materials - purple and pink floral silk band with spray of pink flowers. Pink polyester on the underside of the brim. I was going to remove the pink fabric, but it is stitched to the brim and to the original lining inside of the crown. Too much work.

CONDITION: The hat is in excellent condition. The old straw and fabric lining are very nice with minimal wear. The newer pink lining is unstitched a few inches and has some tiny spots.
