Vintage 1940s Black Swimdress Swimsuit, Taffeta and Velvet Appliques, fits 42 inch bust, with issues

ERA: True vintage item from the 1940s to early 1950s
MEASUREMENTS: Body of swimsuit is 24 inches long. With adjustable straps the swimsuit is 34-1/2 to 35-1/2 inches long. Fits 42 inch bust, 35 inch waist, 44 to 46 inches at hips

Black taffeta swimdress with button adjustable straps. It has cotton velvet appliques with rayon cord trim around them. Full skirt with rayon jersey panties attached underneath. Bodice is self lined with metal zipper down the back.
CONDITION: The swimsuit is in very good condition on the outside with just a few pin dot specks above the waist on the front. A pin head sized hole on the side and 3 more on the bottom of the back of the skirt. The jersey panties need to be repaired or replaced. They have dried out elastic on the legs with holes and tears around the legs as well. An old repair was made in the crotch with a gusset of fabric having been added at some point. But the gusset has a 4 inch and 2 inch tear on one end. Multiple tiny holes on the back of the panty.
