Victorian Black Silk Jacket, 1800s Cropped, 33 inch bust, Ivory Trim

MEASUREMENTS: the jacket is 15 inches long, 15 inches across the shoulders, 21 inch long sleeves, fits 33 inch bust with room, the waist is 31 inches.

LABEL: 'Max Sachs, Fall River MASS'
Very nicely made black silk taffeta jacket with ivory silk satin lining. There is flat rayon wavy trim down the front and black lace on ivory wool trim down the center of jacket. Jacket closes with hooks. Pleats, ivory trim and lace on the ends of the sleeves too. The inside of the jacket is full lined in the ivory silk satin with inner pocket. Flat braid on the back with dangling rayon covered balls.
CONDITION: The jacket is in very good condition. There are several small holes in the black taffeta on the underside fold of the sleeve. The silk lining is frayed and torn at the back of the neck.
