#DV-314- Metallic Silvery tulle gown - $70.00

Era - 1940s
Measurements - 55 inches long, fits 32 inch bust, 25 waist, full hips.
Label - 'Fashion Approved Enka Rayon, Fifth Avenue Bonwit Teller New York'
Fabric - The top is a woven metallic rayon, tulle is rayon and the lining of the skirt is acetate taffeta

Another great gown, Thank you Jessie! The top of this gown is a woven metalic rayon that is an antique gold with a little bit of black going through it, and it is kind of thready and a little puckered. The straps are twisted and form little cap sleeves. There is some shirring down the center of the bust and a little down each side. The waist is seamless and slightly dropped. The upper back of the dress has a nice low scoop. The bodice is lined in a thin black rayon chiffon and there is a metal zipper down the side. The full length skirt is nice and full. It is two layers of a silvery rayon tulle over an acetate taffeta lining. The lining is a pinkish-lavender grey shade. From the estate of Jessie Laurent Harper

Condition - The dress is in good to very good condition. The lining has faded from the original color, I'm not sure of what the original color was. This faded color is even, and it looks fine to me through the silvery tulle. You may want to change the lining. There is a 4 inch tear on the tulle on the center of the skirt, on the back. I will leave that repair up to the buyer. I would just stitch it shut and stitch some of the gathers of the tulle together to hide it. But you may think of another way to hide it - with flowers down the back, or a faux bustle piece of fabric. There are also about 20 small holes scattered on the back of the tulle too, up to 1/2 inch in size. Still a very wearable evening dress. I'd just stitch up that hole and wear it, if I didn't live such a boring life with nowhere to go except the foodstore and post office!

#DV-361- White tulle Strapless gown w/red flowers - $125.00

Era - 1950s
Measurements - 51 inches long, fits 34 inch bust, 25 inch waist, full hips
Label -
Fabric - tulle with acetate lining

Great-great-great strapless tulle gown in layers of tulle. The fitted bodice is taffeta covered with tulle and there are pleated layers of tulle trim around the top of the bust, trimmed with dark red flowers. The full length skirt has 3 layers of dotted tulle with a 4th layer of regular tulle underneath. There are two pieces of tulle that hang down the back of the dress that you can let hang or wrap around the shoulders like a shawl. Metal side zipper.

Condition - The dress is in excellent condition , but the hem of the lining is lightly dirty around the bottom few inches.

#DV-362- Pink Spangled Gown - $65.00

Era - 1960s
Measurements - 56 inches long, fits 32 to snug 34 inch bust, 36 hips
Label - none
Fabric - crochet base covered with spangles

Log tube dress that is a pink cotton crochet with just a little bit of stretch. The shoulders are cut in to the neck and low under the arms. It has a hook on the back of the neck with a keyhole opening and then a short metal zipper under the keyhole. No seam at waist. Dress is unlined.

Condition - The dress is in very good condition, but the spangles do have some wear to the pink color. The pink is pretty good on the front but there is much more pink worn off of the sequin/spangles on the back on the behind area and in a wide section lower down the back. I took many photos to try to show the color wear, but it just wouldn't show in the photos. In person the sequins with the pink color worn off of them are darker than the pink.

#DV-364- Red Velvet & Tulle Gown -

Era - 1950s
Measurements - 49 inches long, fits 34 inch bust, 24 waist, full hips
Label - none
Fabric - velvet bodice, tulle and acetate skirt

Fabulous red strapless gown with velvet bodice and full tulle skirt. Now, to start with, the red is not as bright as in the photos. Red is notoriously hard to photograph with digital cameras. This red is much softer in person. The bodice if a cotton velvet with bust shelf. The bust is covered with gathered rows of tulle. The skirt is tulle over aceatet lining. The tulle down the front is two layers cut up in a angle, and the tulle down the sides and back is many short gathered layers. Has metal side zipper.

Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen.

#DV-398- Bright Yellow Gown w/Chiffon Shoulders - $50.00

Era - 1940s
Measurements - 54 inches long, fits 34 inch bust, 28 inch waist, full hips
Label - none, appears to be handmade, nicely done
Fabric - creped silk chiffon shoulders, and the body feels like a cotton or rayon blend.

Bright yellow gown, probably made from a nightgown pattern because there are no openings, but I am marketing it as a dress because the fabric is opaque and weighted enough to be suitable as a dress. Ther is gathered silk chiffon over the shoulders. The body is just like a nightgown with v-neck, gathers on the bust and seam under bust and at natural waist. There are ties at each side and tiny gathers in the waist of the skirt, which is full. Again, there are NO OPENINGS on this dress, so it is a squeeze to get into it and the fabric has no give. Dress is unlined.

Condition - Very good cndition. There are two 2 inch light pink spots on the lower front of skirt that did not come out in a washing. There is a 2 inch repair net to the side seam at the waist.
