Very uniquely designed dress that is a brown and silver brocade. There's alot going on on this dress, so let's see if I can explain it all clearly. The neckline has a big floppy collar
that can be worn pulled down low or up higher towards the neckline. The sleeves are short and puffy with scalloped piecing around the middle, fitted at the bottoms.
The bust has a diagonal seam across it with tiny gathers. There are folds of fabric around the front and the back of the waist. The skirt is long and straight with a high slit up the back with
a piece of fabric under the slit. On one side of the skirt is an attached piece of pleated fabric that hangs down the side (see last photo) On the other side of the skirt are two shorter
fantail pleated pieces of fabric, one overlapping over the other. The dress is very nicely made with weights on the inside. Unlined with metal zipper on the back.
Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen.
#DV-354- Magenta Silk long sleeved Cheongsam - $20.00
Fitted lightweight silk dress with large floral design, dark magenta pink color. It has metal zipper on the opposite side and snaps and frogs up to the neckline. Has high fitted neck
with stiff lining. There is gold piping trim on collar, neckline and ends of sleeves. Has thin silk lining and slits on the side.
Condition - Very good condition, but it has a darker line
of discolor across the shoulders and down the tops of the sleeves. I tried to show the discolor in the last photo, but it doesn't show up very well.
#DV-355- Blue satin Cheongsam -
Era - 1960s Measurements - 39 inches long, fits 34 inch bust, 25 waist, 35 hips Label - Made in British Crown Colony of Hong Kong Fabric - silk satin brocade
Yummy! I've always loved these dresses but I don't like anything tight around my neck, so I can't wear them. So I am jealously
offering this dress up for sale to the gal who has more tolerance than I do. It is a very pretty shade of blue satin in a matte silk with Oriental flowers. Has metal side zipper and hidden
snaps with frog closures going up to that fitted neckline. Dress is unlined and it has slits on the side.
Condition - Excellent condition, but has a super faint 1/4 inch spot right on the bust
#DV-389- Green Satin & Black Faille Dress -
Era - late 1950s to early 1960s Measurements - 42 inches long, fits 38 inch bust, 33 waist, 42 hips Label - none, appears to be handmade Fabric - matte satin and faille acetate
Very nice dress for the holidays that is a dark Christmas green, matte satin top with black faille acetate bottom. Seamless sleeves and v-neck, belted at waist and foldes pressed down the front of the skirt.
Dress has a metal zipper down the back and it is unlined.
Condition - very good to excellent condition. There are some shine spots on the green satin, slight creases in the fabric under arms. No staining.
Super fitted burgundy dress with black sparkle brocade. There are 3 diagonal darts above and below the waist on the front-side. Has thin acetate lining.
Skirt is narrow and it does NOT have a slit or kick pleat on the bottom. Nylon zipper down the back.
Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen on body of dress BUT pull is broken on zipper. Zipper still goes up and down, it's just hard without the pull.
#V-477- White & Gold Brocade Gown by Madame -
Era - late 1960s Measurements - 51 inches long, fits 35 inch bust, 39 waist, 37 hips Label - Madame Bangkok Fabric - rayon and lurex brocade
Long over dress or coat with slits up the sides. It is a soft ivory-white with woven shiny gold brocade design. 3 fabric covered buttons and bound button holes on the front.
It has bracelet length sleeves. The slits on the sides start just at the top of the hips, so this is either a dress meant to be worn over a skirt or pants or maybe it is even a jacket. Has thin white acetate lining
Very nicely made with finished raw edges and handstitching.
