Dandelion Vintage - 1940s Clothing & Lingerie page 1 of 4 #40-252- Floral Button Front Cotton Day Dress - $30.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 39 inches long, fits 41 inch bust, 36 waist, 46 hips Label - none, probably hand made Fabric - cotton Cleaning - hand wahsed, hung to dry Pretty mauve, yellow, lavender and mint green flora dress with purple buttons all the way down the front. Sweetheart neckline, slightly puffed sleeves and tiny gathers across the front of the shoulders. Slight a-line to the skirt and a small single pocket. Unlined. No belt. Condition - Good condition. Has an allover light wash-n-wear look and slight dullness to the colors. 2 buttons are different. One side of the sweetheart neckline has been taken up a pinch with a few stitches. Close up #5 \ Close up #6 \ Close up #7 #40-937- Sheer Black Chiffon Gown w/Ecru Lace Top - $235.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 55 inches long, fits 35 inch bust, 26 waist, full bias cut hips Label - none Fabric - rayon chiffon I'm panting like a puppy over this dress! Very pretty dress with sheer ecru lace top and sheer black chiffon full skirt. The top is ecru lace lined in black tulle. It has v-neck and tulip sleeves. Full bias cut skirt. Dress has a metal side zipper and it is unlined. Condition - Gown is in very good to excellent condition. There are two 1 inch holes on lower back of skirt with four 1/4 inch holes nearby. They aren't very notiecable because of the fullness of the fabric. #40-856- XS Black Rayon Slip - $36.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 30 inches long down the sides, fits 31 inch bust, 26 waist, 37 hips. Label - Corette, Bur-Mil rayon fabric, 31 Fabric - rayon XS black rayon slip, bias cut. It has embroidery across the front of the bust in the shape of bows and flowers. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen. Close up #3 #40-43- XS Embroidered Rayon Slip - $20.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 28 inches long down the sides, fits 30 inch bust, 25 waist, 37 inches wide at bias cut hips Label - none Fabric - rayon with cotton lace XS peach rayon, bias cut with ecru cotton lace. Pretty floral embroidery on the neckline. Condition - Very good condition. On the front there is a 2 inch and 6 inch thin grey lines that didn't come out in a soaking. They are diagonal and on the front of the hip area. Close up #3 #40-45- Pink Matte Satin Bedjacket - $18.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 21 inches long, 16 across shoulders, 19 inch sleeves, fits 40 inch bust Label - handmade "Mrs. Anna R. Johnson" Fabric - midweight rayon satin Nicely made midweight satin bedjacket in a light pink. Has single button closure.White lace trims collar and sleeves. Condition - Excellent condition, has three 1/4 inch spots on the front, very light. #40-20- Black Taffeta Half Slip - $30.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 28 inches long, fits 27 inch waist, full hips Label - none Fabric - acetate taffeta Bias cut taffeta slip with full bottom. Has hook and two snaps on the side opening. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen. Unworn. Close up #3 #40-22- Black Rayon Slip w/Satin Trim - $28.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 33 inches long down the sides, fits 36 inch bust, 28 waist, 40 hips Label - Corsage Fabric - rayon Black bias cut rayon slip ith rayon satin along the neckline Condition - Very good condition. Has two pin dot hole along top of bust. Rayon has iron shine. It has blue trim along the neckline and arms. Pretty pastel embroidered flowers and bow on the front.
