#FAB17- Dusty Peach floral Crepe Gown & cape - $175.00

Era - 1930s
Measurements - Dress is 54 inches long, fits 34 inch bust, 27 waist and 37 inch hips. The cape is 16 inches wide across the top of the shoulders and 42 inches long down the back.
Label - none
Fabric - a honeycomb-like crepe rayon weave

The fabric is a soft woven rayon crepe in a dusty peach floral with black-brown background. The cape is just like a little rounded coccoon with a seam across the top for the shoulders. The inner edge of the cape is lined with a wide strip of solid peach and a strip of solid black crepe, otherwise the rest of the cape is unlined. There is a strap on each side to hold the cape into your arms. The cape is angled down the sides to become longer in the back.
The floorlength gown is sexy and clingy. The front has a v-neck that has a strip of peach fabric on one side and a black strip on the other side. The fabric strips are twisted together on the front of the bust and stitched into place. Then they hang loose in two long pieces down the front of the gown. Clingy over the hips and a slit on the front-side of the lower skirt. The back is also a low v-back and there are snap and hook openings on the back of the gown. The gown is unlined. From the estate of NY Milliner Jessie Laurent Harper.

Condition - This set is in very good to excellent condition and it is wearable. There are three light 1/4+ inch spots on the bust of the dress. The cape has the faintest, faintest, faintest hint of discolor (I don't even want to call it discolor. The color just doesn't seems as sharp, not really discolored) on the shoulders, and there are 2 light brown 1/2 age spots on the front of shoulder

#2044- Embroidered Yellow Rayon Oriental Top - $24.00

Era - 1930s
Measurements - 23 inches long, fits 34 inch bust, 37 around bottom
Label - none
Fabric - woven rayon satin

This pullover shiny yellow satin rayon top has a great Oriental style to it. I'm guessing that it was the top to pajamas. It has a black high necked collar and black trim on a curve down the front, where it opens with hidden snaps. The black has black and yellow decorative frog and narrow ivory cotton lace along the edges. There is thick rayon embroidery in red, blue, green and pink. The ends of the sleeves are trimmed in black and there was once elastic on the inside of the wrists to gather the fabric, forming bell shapes at the end of the sleeves. Two small pockets with lace and black trim.

Condition - Very good condition. The top has a 1-1/2 inch brown ring mark under the front of each underarm. I haven't tried to wash this piece to removes those marks because of the embroidery. Rayon dyed threads like those tend to bleed when wet.

#30-67- Black silk robe with gold cord dragons - $50.00

Era - 1920-30s
Measurements - 47 inches long, fits 38 inch bust and 40 hips
Label - made in Japan
Fabric - matte silk satin with metallic cording

Mine, Mine, Mine!! Another piece that I want to keep! This is a very fine black silk matte satin robe, cut straight down the sides with wide square sleeves (NOT kimono style) This robe has a thin woven wool layer inside with inner fine silk lining. It closes down the front with loops of fabric over little fabric knots, kind of like fros. There is decorative gold metallic cording in designs down the front and around the ends of the sleeves. The back has a more elaborate cording design of two gragon heads. Very cool!

Condition - Very good condition. There is some loose and missing cording from around the ends of the sleeves. It is obvious that some cord is missing, but it's not too terrible. There is a 1/2 inch hole in the silk on the front and about 10 teeny holes at about 1/8 inch each scattered on the piece. The holes aren't terribley notceable because the lining under the holes hides them some. Still a very nice, hard to find piece.

#30-102- Peach rayon satin one cup bra - $5.00

Era - 1930s
Measurements - 34B
Label - Lilees by Lily of France and Bur-Mil rayon label
Fabric - rayon and cotton

Peach rayon satin bra with just one cup. Cup has peach cotton mesh across the top. It has an elastic strap around the bottom and a strap for the side with the cup. Unusual bra, but I have seen one like this before. I think they were made for special gowns, maybe one shoulder?

Condition - Very good condition, but hook for shoulder strap is missing.

#30-54- Sheer Black Striped Rayon Panties and Bra - $25.00

Era - 1930s
Measurements - Bra fits about 34B. Panties are 10 inches long on the sides, 15 inches from waist to crotch, fits 24 to 28 inch waist, 36 hips
Label - none, other than 'sz34' in bra
Fabric - satin striped rayon chiffon

Awesome. Sheer black chiffon with satin stripes. Bra has satin straps that do NOT adjust, thin gauze lining in underside of cups, single hook on the elastic back. Panties have elastic waist. Loose legs do not have elastic in them.

Condition - Bra is excellent, maybe unworn, just has a pinhead size hole along front edge.
The crotch in the panties has many holes in the front and the back. If you sew, you could easily replace the crotch gusset with different fabric. The black has some burgundy-tinted spots on the back.
